There’s an awful lot of people wanting a ‘unique live experience’.
The 1975‘s gig at the O2 Arena in London, set for December 16th, has already sold out after going on general sale today.
The band initially talked about their ambitious live ideas without revealing the venue they had in mind, but once the O2 was confirmed earlier this week a scramble for tickets was always on the cards.
“In December 2016 The 1975 will play their biggest UK headline show to date,” a press release said. “The show will form part of a series of concerts that will be toured worldwide, with expanded visuals and a brand new set list including songs that have never been played live.”
“The 1975’s constantly evolving performance will fuse art and technology to create a unique live experience.”
It’s more good news for a band which has enjoyed a spectacular rise to mainstream prominence in both the UK and the US since the release of their self-titled debut album nearly three years ago.
