Noel Gallagher will call time on ‘Chasing Yesterday‘ with a gig at the Brixton Academy in London on September 6th.
Like everyone else Gallagher is heading into a summer of festivals, and then points the tour bus towards London as autumn breaks for what will be his first solo show at the Brixton Academy and the last of 121 gigs played behind his 2015 second High Flying Birds album.
Since resuming touring at the start of this year, Gallagher has also been concentrating any free time in the studio working on a third solo LP with producer David Holmes, pursuing a ‘brand new way of working’ in the process.
Holmes gave an update to Gigwise last month and said:
“We’re a good bit into it now, we’ve got nearly five tracks done now. People are going to be surprised. I think people love Noel and they’re desperate for him to make a really big, bold, uptempo beast of a record – a lot of Noel’s music is quite mid-tempo. This one is quite fun.”
