Muse have just joined Kendrick Lamar as a headline act for this year’s Benicassim Festival.
As they continue their high concept, lavishly produced world tour behind 2015’s ‘Drones‘ album, the band lead other new additions which include The Chemical Brothers, Disclosure, Massive Attack, The 1975, The Vaccines and Catfish & The Bottlemen.
Muse began their ‘Drones’ dates last November in Mexico after promising fans a ‘true 360 degree audio/visual sensory experience’ during the shows. “It spans the length of the arena,” production designer Oli Metcalfe told NME of the stage set-up.
“It’s quite narrow but more importantly for the audience it’s low, so the band will be playing in an intimate space, and have a good relationship in terms of distance from their audience.”
Already on the Benicassim bill are the likes of The Maccabees, Bloc Party and Jamie xx. It takes place between July 14th-17th.
