Coldplay performed a low-key gig in London last night (December 3rd) to launch their new studio album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams‘.
The show at Hackney Church in London went out live on BBC Radio 1 and the iPlayer and, as well as cuts from the new record, included renditions of hits such as ‘Clocks‘, ‘Paradise‘ and ‘Viva La Vida’.
The band’s frontman Chris Martin has previously described the record as bringing together all the music they love, ‘from Drake to Oasis’.
“We wanted to marry all the music that we love, from Drake to Oasis,” he told Rolling Stone. “There was a feeling that we don’t have anything to lose. We’re very comfortable now with the fact that we’re not for everybody.”
Coldplay have also today been confirmed for the 2016 Super Bowl half-time show in Santa Clara, California on February 7th.
