Gigs at Wembley Stadium in London on June 16th and 18th next year are a part of world tour dates announced by Coldplay for 2016.
With new album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ due early next month, the band have detailed touring plans for next year which will take them to South America, Europe and the UK.
“I think that not going on tour with Ghost Stories was one of the best decisions we ever made, because it gave us such pent-up energy in the studio and completely reignited everyone’s desire to go around the world and play music,” Chris Martin states.
“A Head Full Of Dreams was written as a record to be performed live. We can’t wait to do that.”
Also in the pipeline for British fans is another stadium gig at the home of Manchester City on June 4th, and a visit to Hampden Park in Glasgow on June 7th.
The itinerary is notable for leaving the band free of work on Glastonbury weekend – an event they are widely tipped to headline once again in 2016
