Biffy Clyro will both say farewell to a year’s break and welcome in a 2016 return by headlining Edinburgh’s New Year’s Eve Hogmanay celebrations.
The band are to be supported at ‘Concert In The Gardens’ by special guests Idlewild and Honeyblood, completing an all-Scottish line-up.
A quiet year has followed the completion of Biffy Clyro’s ‘Opposites‘ commitments, and they’re now expected to get to work on a new album in 2016, as frontman Simon Neil told NME last November.
“We’re getting the next album together,” he said. “Realistically it won’t be out until the end of next year. We’re working on the songs now, but we don’t want to rush it – we’ve been in everyone’s faces for the last couple of years, so I think it’s important to disappear for a wee while and then come back all guns blazing.”
Tickets for ‘Concert In The Gardens’ go on general sale from Friday, September 25th.
