Jamie T announces new EP ‘Magnolia Melancholia’

Jamie T will put a long period of inactivity firmly behind him with the release of a new EP in April.

It had been five years since 2009’s ‘Kings & Queens‘ album when the London songwriter released ‘Carry On The Grudge‘ in September last year, yet the wait for more new music is already at an end thanks to ‘Magnolia Melancholia’, which is due for release on April 6th.

The EP is being led by ‘Carry On The Grudge’ album track ‘Don’t You Find’, but three previously unheard songs will also be included. These are ‘Marilyn Monroe’, ‘Riverbed’ and the title-track, while there’s covers of Bran Van 3000’s ‘Mama Don’t Smoke’ and The Replacements’ ‘Bastards Of Young’.

Jamie T spent last weekend performing at the second annual BBC 6Music Festival in Newcastle along side the likes of Interpol, Mogwai, The War On Drugs and Father John Misty.
