Former X Factor contestant Diana Vickers follows up her recent Singles chart success this week by entering at no.1 with her debut album ‘Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree‘. The singer replaces Plan B at the top of the charts, who drops down to #2. Elsewhere, Florence & The Machine climbs back into the top 10 after dropping out last week, climbing 5 places to #6 and Paolo Nutini’s ‘Sunny Side Up‘ climbs one to #9. Outside the top 10, rock band Deftones‘ new record ‘Diamond Eyes‘ enters at #26 and The Stone Roses’ classic debut album is back in the top 40 at no.38. Rap collective Roll Deep are this week’s UK number one for a second week with their track ‘Good Times‘.

The first New To Q Tour is taking place in various cities across the UK this month, and is being headlined by hotly-tipped rock band Detroit Social Club (pic). After releasing a clutch of brilliant singles and EPs including ‘Sunshine People’ in March 2009, the group will release their long awaited new album ‘Existence’ at the end of this month. Joining Detroit Social Club on the tour are London-based five piece Goldhawks and upcoming singer-songwriter Tiffany Page.
