It was recorded at Konk with<span style=\"color: #b40000;\"><strong> The Jayhawks<\/strong> <\/span>acting as backing band. <span style=\"color: #b40000;\"><strong>Poetry<\/strong> <\/span>is streaming via NPR below.<\/p>\n<p>This solo announcements comes after a couple of years of increased speculation surrounding a reunion for The Kinks, speculation which has returned to a cool state since the summer of 2014. Giving one of the latest updates to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/news\/dave-davies-on-reviving-the-kinks-where-theres-life-theres-hope-20150901\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/a>, <span style=\"color: #b40000;\"><strong>Dave Davies<\/strong><\/span> said: \u201cI\u2019d say there\u2019s an outside shot. But where there\u2019s life, there\u2019s hope.
