\nYeah Yeah Yeah’s<\/strong> singer Karen O<\/strong> has replaced Hannah Montana<\/strong> star Miley Cyrus<\/strong>‘ Grammy nomination for Best Song Written For a Soundtrack after Cyrus’ song ‘The Climb<\/em>‘<\/strong> was apparently disqualified. The track, which features in the film ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’, is rumoured to have been replaced because it wasn’t originally written for the movie. Karen O’s track ‘All Is Love<\/em><\/strong>‘, which she co-wrote with her Yeah Yeah Yeah’s bandmate Nick Zinner<\/strong> for the film Where The Wild Things Are<\/em><\/strong>, received the next highest vote and will therefore take it’s place.<\/p>\n

The news was broken by Interscope spokesman Matt LaMotte, who wrote on his blog: “In an unexpected twist one of the announced Grammy candidates has been disqualified after the fact.” Lamotte’s announcement was later confirmed by the Grammys, but they have so far refused to explain the exact reasons behind the disqualification.<\/p>\n

Other nominees for the Grammy include Paramore’s<\/strong> ‘Decode<\/strong><\/em>‘, which appears in New Moon <\/em><\/strong>and Bruce Springsteen’s<\/strong> ‘The Wrestler<\/strong><\/em>‘, which appears in the film of the same name.\u00a0 Yeah Yeah Yeah’s also have a nomination in the Best Alternative Album category for their third album ‘It’s Blitz<\/em><\/strong>‘, which was released in April 2009.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
