Villagers <\/strong>were among the winners at today’s Ivor Novello awards, with Plan B <\/strong>also landing two of the ceremony’s most coveted gongs.
\n<\/p>\n

Conor O’Brien<\/strong> won the Best Song Musically and Lyrically prize for his track ‘Becoming a Jackal<\/strong><\/em>‘, taken from the album of the same name.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Plan B’s growing list of accolades for his second album ‘The Defamation Of Strickland Banks<\/strong>‘ continued, with the record beating Bombay Bicycle Club<\/strong> and Everything Everything<\/strong> to the Best Album award, while the single ‘She Said<\/strong><\/em>‘ won the PRS For Most Performed Work.<\/p>\n

In addition, Muse <\/strong>went away with International Achievement gong, while former Free <\/strong>frontman Paul Rodgers <\/strong>picked up the Outstanding Contribution award.<\/p>\n

The awards were handed out at a ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House.<\/p>\n
