Ex Oasis and current Beady Eye guitarist Gem Archer, who is recuperating from a skull fracture he suffered back in August, has posted an update for his fans via the band’s official facebook page (read below).

V Festival’s organisers do not yet appear to have received note of Beady Eye‘s cancellation after the news this week that the band’s guitarist Gem Archer has been hospitalised with what was described as ‘severe head trauma’.

Beady Eye’s management today lifted the mystery behind the severity of guitarist Gem Archer’s injury, which was reported yesterday, with following statement on their official website:
