Courtney Barnett announces From Where I’m Standing livestream gig

It’s the first full-band show from Courtney Barnett since January.

A year which has seen Courtney Barnett‘s live work restricted to just pre-pandemic shows at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne to raise money for the Australian bushfires and the occasional lockdown TV performance will come to a blessed end on December 17th with a livestreamed gig from the Royal Exhibition Building, back in Melbourne.

After the collapse of Burger Records earlier this year amidst multiple abuse allegations, artists including Courtney Barnett, Amyl And The Sniffers and Thelma And The Sleaze have responded by contributing to a compilation entitled Hands Off! which will raise funds for non-profit organisations that focus on the empowerment of young women.

It’s the summer Bank Holiday in the UK today, and with mighty fine weather greeting it for once here we’ve got part one of a playlist which might just add to the soundtrack for today’s activities.
