Radiohead headlining the first day of TRNSMT 2017 (Gary Mather / Live4ever
Fresh looks at classic albums from Radiohead and King Creosote brought some of Live4ever’s biggest headlines last week.
Radiohead are ‘re-evaluating their relationship with their sixth studio album’ via the release of Hail To The Thief Live Recordings 2003-2009.
Subject to a famous pre-release Internet leak, despite highs such as Sail To The Moon, 2 + 2 = 5 and hit single There There, the album is considered one of the weaker points of their back catalogue, not least by the band themselves.
But a collection of live recordings from shows in London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires and Dublin during the 2000s is looking to reset that.
Little By Little is the latest live track released by Oasis from their epic Live 25 comeback tour.
Originally released on Heathen Chemistry in 2002, the single quickly became a firm live favourite among fans, this version recorded at Wembley Stadium on August 2nd proving that trend has continued through to the present day.
The band moved on from Wembley to three shows at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh earlier this month.
There wasn’t long to wait when Kaytranada announced his new album ‘Ain’t No Damn Way!’ last week – it was released last Friday, August 15th.
Lead track Space Invader is streaming online, while joint touring with Justice is due to get underway in Vancouver on October 16th.
A two-night stop at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles will follow soon after, while the same is booked for when the tour reaches New York in early November.

King Creosote by Calum Gordon
A celebration of 20 years of King Creosote‘s KC Rules OK album is coming up on September 26th.
The album is to be reissued in expanded form on that date, the limited edition white vinyl marking the first time it has been available on that format since its original release back in 2005.
“I’ve reached a point in life where nearly everything good is in the rear view mirror,” Kenny Anderson has said.
“To be intimately known at your worst and best – that’s the kind of love I know with you,” Channy Leaneagh has said upon the release of Poliça‘s new single She Knows Me.
“I’ve heard people say we don’t want to be loved for who we are, but for who we want to be,” Leaneagh continued. “But I’m never my best with you, and neither are you. I’m never who I want to be. And still, we love.”
“This song came out of the early Pachyderm sessions, but for about a year we paused working on the record, trying to figure out what we were even doing with ourselves.”
Rising to fans’ expectations is the goal of The Beaches‘ latest No Hard Feelings single Lesbian Of The Year.
“Lesbian Of The Year is about the shame I felt coming out later in life and the pressure of trying to live up to a title given to me by my sweet fans,” Leandra Earl said.
“I feel regret for not knowing myself sooner, but this song is also about the journey of self discovery and sexual identity and accepting that everyone is on their own timeline and we’ll get there when we get there.”
