Noel Gallagher was joined on stage by Johnny Marr last night (March 9th) as his UK and Ireland arena tour continued in Manchester.
Gallagher has been receiving praise for a more uptempo live set on his first tour behind second solo album and current UK number one ‘Chasing Yesterday‘, and there was an extra treat for the hometown crowd yesterday as another of Manchester’s favourite sons made a guest appearance towards the end of the show.
Marr reprised his role on the ‘Chasing Yesterday’ track ‘Ballad Of The Mighty I‘, and in the process returned a favour after Gallagher had played two tracks with the former Smiths guitarist in London last year.
The tour continues at the O2 in London tonight.
