Soft Play were a late addition to the Reading/Leeds weekend.
Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman were at Leeds Festival in the week when their first single of the Soft Play era had been released – Punk’s Dead addressing at least some of the reaction to their Slaves name change last year.
“We are aware that people have differing opinions on the name, we hope you can accept and respect our decision and not continue the argument between yourselves,” the pair said.
When it comes down to it, the music and the community surrounding our band are what matter the most and we don’t want anything to stand in the way of that community being as inclusive as possible. Our music is for anyone and everyone.
With the Reading/Leeds done, next up for the duo is a November UK arena tour in support of The Prodigy.
