Sam Ryder was in London on March 30th.

After the success of Space Man at the Eurovision Song Contest last year, Sam Ryder is on a UK tour right now which will continue in Cardiff tomorrow night.

He’s still riding the good vibes which began well before Eurovision as he emerged out of lockdown with the debut EP The Sun’s Gonna Rise.

“The Sun’s Gonna Rise was my mantra throughout lockdown,” he said of it. “Like most people, I was digging for a light in that space that, once discovered, not only fulfilled me but that I felt I could share with others.”

It turns out a corner in my studio, a green lamp, many plants and the need to sing myself into joy resonated. These five tracks are an embodiment of some of the connections I made after leaving that corner, and the way I used to approach music, behind.

“It’s a body of work that feels like the highest honour to finally share, and my hope is that it helps to lift, lighten and brighten your days.”
