Wet Leg released their debut album in April 2022.

Wet Leg went home with two prizes from yesterday’s Grammy Awards, while Beyonce became the most decorated artist in the ceremony’s history after winning Best Dance/Electronic Album for Renaissance.

At the other end of the career scale, Wet Leg’s self-titled maiden LP was named Best Alternative Album, while its smash-hit breakthrough single Chaise Longue won Best Alternative Performance.

It marks another landmark for the duo who’ve enjoyed a rapid rise since the release of that debut track – not long after which we caught them for the first time at Isle Of Wight 2021.

“It must be said that there is a palpable feeling of everyone waiting patiently for one thing, but only because with Chaise Longue this duo already have the type of single that most will spend their entire careers fruitlessly chasing for,” our review reads.

“Yet there’s a constant idiosyncrasy and quirky personality to much of what comes before it, suggesting plenty more engaging times are lying in wait. For now though, the Isle Of Wight has a bonafide festival anthem all of its own.”
