Baddiel, Skinner & Lightning Seeds release Christmas version of Three Lions

Three Lions has been a UK number one for Baddiel, Skinner & Lightning Seeds in 1996, 1998 and 2018.

Baddiel, Skinner & Lightning Seeds have unveiled a new version of their enduringly popular England football anthem Three Lions.

Thanks to the…unique World Cup which is about to kick-off in Qatar, the track has been reimagined for 2022 as a Christmas single.

“At last it’s between me and Mariah Carey for who really is the voice of Christmas,” David Baddiel said.

“We just had to do it,” Frank Skinner added. “Christmas World Cup songs are not like buses. If we’d let this opportunity pull away, it would have been a very long wait for the next one.”

1966 hat-trick hero Sir Geoff Hurst co-stars in the video along with Jess Carter and Beth England whose Lionesses brought it home this summer.
