Fontaines D.C. were a part of the final day line-up on Leeds Festival’s Main Stage East.

Fontaines D.C. started a heavyweight rock treble on the Sunday evening at Leeds Festival, performing immediately before Wolf Alice and the day’s big headliners Arctic Monkeys.

It was the same line-up which had graced Reading 24 hours earlier, Fontaines making headlines when inviting an unlikely guest on stage for Boys In The Better Land:

Though Chatten and co. appear sullen, they burst any perceptions of pomposity when allowing a fan to take to the stage towards the end of the set,” our review reads.

You’ll be familiar with young Dexter by now, as indie-rock finally has its ‘Alex Tiago Silva’ moment, the teen joining his heroes onstage and perfectly playing guitar on Boys In The Better Land. Being cool is easy but you can’t substitute that for a grin the size of the young man’s as he lived his dream.
