Beth Orton has unveiled her new album Weather Alive with a video for its title-track directed by Eliot Lee Hazel in Big Sur.

It’ll be out on September 23rd, not long before the start of an October headline UK tour at the Academy in Birmingham.

Prior to that are a smattering of summer festival appearances, and a European arena tour during June in support of Alanis Morissette.

Nation Of Language have shared their cover of The Replacements’ 1984 track Androgynous, following on from the 2021 second studio album A Way Forward.

“One of the things that made covering Androgynous so exciting is that, for me, so much of the original song is carried by Paul Westerberg’s incredible melodies and emotional delivery, and that really leaves a lot of opportunity to imagine new instrumentation,” Ian Richard Devaney says.

“I felt like as long as I was able to channel enough of that emotional power but bring the vocals into my own space, it would be a challenging and worthwhile endeavor.”

Working Men’s Club are looking ahead to the summer release of their second record Fear Fear with a video for its latest cut Ploys.

The promo features a turn from international weightlifter Chloe Whylie and was directed by Edwin Burdis, who says:

“When we heard the album I wanted to be involved immediately. It was a good opportunity to work with the artist/hybrid athlete Whylie and create a meeting of feminine meets masculine in an EDM-world.”

Gently Tender have announced the details of their debut album Take Hold Of Your Promise!.

Four years on from when Sam Fryer, Will Doyle and Peter Mayhew emerged out of Palma Violets with The Big Moon’s Celia Archer, the band will release their maiden full length on August 26th.

The record was produced by Matthew E. White who was present when work was completed at the famous Rockfield Studios in Wales following initial sessions at Spacebomb in Virginia.
