The Coral are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album.

The Coral’s self-titled first LP is a high new entry on this week’s UK Record Store Chart which is led by Marillion and An Hour Before It’s Dark.

Another reissue – The Lemonheads’ It’s A Shame About Ray – is also in the Top 5, while alt-J are a rare non-mover at #15 with their latest album The Dream.

A decade ago, The Official Charts Company began compiling the UK Record Store Chart to reflect the boom in vinyl sales which had begun during the previous decade. Its figures are taken from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
