Sigur Ros are currently writing and recording a new studio album.

Sigur Ros will be on the road for the first time in nearly five years when they start an American tour at Festival Vaivén in Mexico on April 30th.

During the next month or so the itinerary will also take the band through the US and Canada, including two nights at the Moody Theater in Austin TX.

Another two night run – at New York’s Beacon Theatre – is planned to bring the curtain down on June 17th and 18th.
