It’s set to be the first edition of Bluedot Festival since 2019.
Mogwai, Björk and Groove Armada have been unveiled as the headliners for this year’s returning Bluedot Festival.
“After two years away we are thrilled to be able to return with such a unique and diverse line up to the iconic Jodrell Bank for the fifth instalment of Bluedot,” festival director Ben Robinson says.
“We can’t wait for people to join us beneath the Lovell Telescope in July to experience four days of cosmic adventures which will close with a very special orchestral performance from Björk and The Hallé.”
During the time since Bluedot was last held, Mogwai have found themselves at the top of the UK album chart thanks to last year’s As The Love Continues LP.
“We’re unbelievably happy to have the number 1 album in the UK,” Stuart Braithwaite said. “We want to thank everyone at Rock Action Records – both of you – and mostly to thank everyone who has bought, downloaded and streamed the album, and supported us over the last week, and the last 25 years.”
“It’s something we’re amazed by. We’re taken aback by everyone’s support, kindness and generosity.”
