The new Father John Misty album is out on April 8th.

Q4 is the latest preview of Father John Misty’s upcoming Chloë And The Next 20th Century LP.

Josh Tillman worked with his regular collaborator Jonathan Wilson initially at the latter’s Five Star Studios during the second half of that dreaded year, 2020, as he began following up 2018’s God’s Favorite Customer.

“A record that could just as easily have been entitled ‘Who’s Behind Door Number One This Time’, Josh Tillman veers from heartbreak to diagnosis and back amongst the sort of rubble you sense he’ll always claim was like that when he found it,” our review reads. “Should he ever find his muse in happy-ever-after mode you suspect the product will be one of the greatest albums ever written.”

“For now though, he remains a talent under someone else’s lock and key, perhaps the big fella of the title, or anyone else willing to be the jailer stood on the other side of his confessional wall.”

Chloë And The Next 20th Century tracklist:

Chloë
Goodbye Mr. Blue
Kiss Me (I Loved You)
(Everything But) Her Love
Buddy’s Rendezvous
