Bastille join Kendal Calling 2022 as new headliners

Bastille

Bastille join the already confirmed headliners Stereophonics and Supergrass.

Bastille have been added to the top of the bill for Kendal Calling 2022, which is to be held at Lowther Deer Park between July 28th-31st.

The group replace The Streets after the original headliners pulled out at the end of last year when Mike Skinner took the decision to cancel all of the band’s live plans for 2022.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I have to say that we have decided to cancel all live performances for 2022,” he wrote on social media at the time.

“It is not fair to keep taking your money for tickets knowing that with 1 case of Covid, the whole thing has to stop. I’m really sorry to disappoint you. This has been the worst week of the worst year of my life.”

But the likes of Sports Team, Working Men’s Club, Pip Blom, The Vaccines and Amy Macdonald will all still be there after being confirmed on the line-up when the first announcement was made.

“We are so very proud to announce our largest bill to date, keeping as many of those favourites you all booked for many moons ago while adding a bunch of big acts we have been working to bring to the fields for many years,” co-founders Andy Smith and Ben Robinson commented.
