But Yard Act have had to settle for second place on the UK’s main chart rundown.

Yard Act’s debut album The Overload is the new number one on the UK Record Store Chart.

The Sherlocks, Years & Years, Miles Kane and Kiefer Sutherland all contribute to a brand new Top 5, while chart debuts continue to down #8 with Aurora, Ludovico Einaudi and Palace.

A decade ago, The Official Charts Company began compiling the UK Record Store Chart to reflect the boom in vinyl sales which had begun during the previous decade. Its figures are taken from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
