The Wombats debut at number one on UK Record Store Chart

The Wombats

The Wombats replace Twin Atlantic at the top of the chart.

The Wombats’ new album Fix Yourself, Not The World is the highest new entry on the latest UK Record Store Chart, matching its number one success on the main chart rundown.

Bonobo, Elvis Costello & The Imposters and The Lumineers are more chart debuts to immediately follow, while Milburn complete the Top 5 as a non-mover with Well Well Well.

A decade ago, The Official Charts Company began compiling the UK Record Store Chart to reflect the boom in vinyl sales which had begun during the previous decade. Its figures are taken from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
