The Smile was first introduced during the Glastonbury livestream event last year.

Radiohead side-project The Smile have unveiled their debut single You Will Never Work In Television Again along side details of their maiden in-person live shows.

Consisting of Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood along with jazz drummer Tom Skinner, the band was described by Yorke during the remote Glastonbury performance as, ‘the smile of the guy who lies to you every day’, when they aired other new cuts such as Skating On The Surface, Opposites and We Don’t Know What Tomorrow Brings.

Nigel Godrich was the familiar face acting as producer on the single, and it’s likely to be on show when the trio play three gigs in the space of 24 hours at Magazine in London.

Starting at 8pm on January 29th, a seated audience will be there, but for those who aren’t a real-time livestream is planned, as is a cinematic film from director Paul Dugdale.
