Fontaines D.C. join the already confirmed Anne-Marie, Bastille, Becky Hill, Craig David, Damon Albarn, Joy Crookes, Maisie Peters and Mimi Webb.

Fontaines D.C. have signed up for the BRITs Week series of gigs which will be taking place next month in aid of the War Child charity.

Shortly after confirming the details of their third album, the band have arranged a show at The Dome in London on February 4th, slotting in between Becky Hill’s gig at Lafayette and Mimi Webb’s at the Omeara.

Skinty Fia, meanwhile, has been set for release on April 22nd, carrying a title which has been explained by bass player Conor Deegan:

“‘Skinty fia’ is also used as an expletive, in the way you’d say ‘for fuck’s sake’ if you bang your arm on a table,” he said. “We just thought there was something really beautiful about that, because it’s really representative of Irish culture in some sense.”

“We were interested in the idea of something precious and sentimental and attached to family, but also something that has been taken away from us. Which doesn’t mean we can’t cherish it.”
