UK gigs in Belfast, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff and London are a part of a 2022 European tour which has been confirmed by The Cure.
Those will come right at the end of the tour and the year; between December 2nd-11th, and are immediately preceded by a gig in Dublin on December 1st.
After two years away, South By Southwest 2022 is shaping up to be one heck of a return with The Lathums, Self Esteem, W. H. Lung and The Lounge Society among the second wave of confirmed artists.
Also making the trek to Texas are Jamie Webster, Baba Ali, Hotel Lux, Sprints, Sinead O’Brien and Los Bitchos (the full, exhaustive list is below), adding to previously announced performers which include Katy J Pearson, Yard Act and Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard.
Holly Humberstone has been revealed as the recipient of the 2022 BRITs Rising Star award.
Bree Runway and Lola Young were also shortlisted, but it’ll be Humberstone who gets to perform at next year’s ceremony on Tuesday, February 8th.
Dave, Arctic Monkeys, Rage Against The Machine, Megan Thee Stallion, Bring Me The Horizon and Halsey will be headlining next year’s Reading And Leeds festivals across two main stages between August 26th-28th.
Some heavyweights have also been revealed further back on the bill; Wolf Alice and Fontaines D.C. make for an impressive supporting cast immediately before Arctic Monkeys on the Saturday in Reading and Sunday in Leeds, while others confirmed include Run The Jewels, Little Simz, Pale Waves, Glass Animals and Bastille.
HAIM have unveiled the details of an extensive North American tour which will take place during the spring of next year.
The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas is to host the opening night on April 24th, 2022, and the sisters are then planning to work their way across to the east coast by mid-May where shows include one at Madison Square Garden.
Dave picked up Album Of The Year at the 2021 MOBO Awards which was held at the Coventry Building Society Arena last week.
We’re All Alone In This Together came out on top from a strong category which also featured nominated records from the likes of Arlo Parks, Celeste and Ghetts but, in the way these things often work at awards ceremonies, it was Ghetts who beat Dave to Best Male Act.
