Courtney Barnett has released her third studio album on New Music Friday – have a listen on Live4ever.
Courtney Barnett worked on Things Take Time, Take Time, the successor to 2018’s Tell Me How You Really Feel, during the bleak times of late 2020 and early 2021 with producer/drummer Stella Mozgawa.
“I think my stance in the past was like, ‘There’s so many love songs and they don’t mean anything,’ but there’s something really special about zooming in on a moment and capturing it,” Barnett has said of its most recent single.
“If I Don’t Hear From You Tonight comes from the state of where my head was at — trying to communicate honestly instead of keeping [my feelings] guarded.”
Now released, a tour of North America is on the horizon and will begin in Las Vegas on the 29th of this month.
Touring continues in the US and Canada through to mid-February 2022.
