Travis to celebrate 20 years of The Invisible Band with reissue, tour dates

It was the follow-up to Travis’ huge 1999 commercial breakthrough The Man Who.

Travis will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their The Invisible Band album with a reissue on December 3rd.

“Making the first post-success album is never going to be easy,” Andy Dunlop recalls. “Suddenly pressures and expectations sit on the shoulders of an already creatively challenging process. But things shouldn’t be easy, and all the best things very rarely are.”




The band will also revisit the 2001 album on tours of the UK and North America next year, frontman Fran Healy declaring that he’s, ‘really looking forward to playing live again’.

“The Invisible Band is 20,” he continues. “I hadn’t listened to the whole album for a while. It’s a lovely piece of work from the big singles like Sing and Flowers In The Window to Afterglow and Last Train. It sounds great at 20!”

Part of the bonus features of the re-release is a previously unheard early version of Sing which is streaming online now:
