The Specials have covered artists ranging from Bob Marley to Frank Zappa on their new album.

New albums from The Script and The Specials are leading the latest UK Record Store Chart.

The Script are on top with their greatest hits collection Tales From The Script, The Specials one place back with Protest Songs 1924-2012.




Elsewhere, Public Service Broadcasting are down from #1 to #5 this week, while The Lathums’ debut LP How Beautiful Life Can Be is at #15.

It’s now nine years since The Official Charts Company launched this chart as vinyl sales surged during the last decade, a trend which continued in 2020 as the format grew for the 13th consecutive year. It is compiled from the best selling albums at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music shops.
