A remastered version of The Beatles’ Let It Be album is accompanying the film tomorrow.
The official trailer for Peter Jackson’s new Beatles documentary Get Back has been premiered – have a watch below.
Using Jackson’s restorative techniques, the film is also set to put a new perspective on the 1969 sessions for the Fab Four’s ultimately doomed Get Back multimedia project, ones that ever since have been known as evidence of a band in its final throes falling away at the seams.
“In many respects, Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s remarkable footage captured multiple storylines,” Jackson has said. “The story of friends and of individuals.”
“It is the story of human frailties and of a divine partnership. It is a detailed account of the creative process, with the crafting of iconic songs under pressure, set amid the social climate of early 1969.”
“But it’s not nostalgia – it’s raw, honest, and human. Over six hours, you’ll get to know The Beatles with an intimacy that you never thought possible.”
