‘It’s the sound of classic rock as written by a guy who never did get Eric Clapton’, according to Spoon’s Britt Daniel.
Spoon were recording in their hometown of Austin for the first time in more than a decade as they laid down their tenth studio album Lucifer On The Sofa.
It’ll be released on February 11th next year, lead track The Hardest Cut the first one written for the LP; “I spent a lot of 2018 and 2019 listening to ZZ Top,” Daniel explains.
More of the record will be on show tonight and tomorrow when the Back To Life livestream goes out from the Teragram in Los Angeles, directed by Andreas Neumann and available for global viewing via Moment House.
