“I’m super proud to announce I’m doing a gig in my hometown of Manchester on 1st June 2022 – home of the champions of English football Manchester City,” Liam Gallagher says.

Shortly after the sold-out signs went up for his two nights at Knebworth Park, Liam Gallagher has announced another couple of stadium shows for next year.

The Streets and Goat Girl will be in support when he plays the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Wednesday, June 1st 2022, while Kasabian will be the main back-up for the concert at Hampden Park in Glasgow on June 26th.

The Oasis frontman restarted his return to the big live stage via various headline festival appearances this year – one of which, at Isle Of Wight, was witnessed by Live4ever.

“Given that Bonehead is up on stage here with him, that his son Gene comes out to bang a snare for one song to the interest of no-one but himself and the old man, that there’s nothing but a few cursory nods to As You Were and Why Me. Why Not? during the near two hours, whether all this success is now entirely reliant on the levels of nostalgia normally reserved for joint boyband tours is certainly up for debate,” our review reads.

“But it’s certainly not a debate to be had during one of his gigs, when the spectacle and sheer community of an Oasis concert is so tangible 1996 can almost be reached out and touched. If Noel Gallagher was the voice of a generation, then Liam Gallagher was the voice of the voice of a generation, and here it’s sounding as good as it has in over 20 years.”
