The Fernweh release their second album TORSCHLUSSPANIK! on October 29th.
End Of The Summertime, the latest single from The Fernweh, has been shared as the band continue preparations for the follow-up to their essential 2018 debut album.
“It was important for me to address the impact of watching people you love completely unravel mentally and the unspoken spectre of mental illness, especially if you grow up as a child around it,” Ned Crowther explains.
“There is powerlessness in watching loved ones slip away from you, fury at a society that fears and rejects them, but also pride in the resilience and wildness of the human spirit in all its raging glory.”
TORSCHLUSSPANIK was recorded in both the north west and south west regions of England; the product of Crowther, together with Jamie Backhouse and Austin Murphy, making a pledge to one another whilst overlooking Glastonbury that they would create, ‘the album they knew they could make’.
