“We are worthy,” Oasis’ Noel Gallagher says. “Enjoy it.”

The clip of Live Forever from the forthcoming documentary Oasis Knebworth 1996 has been posted online ahead of its release to cinemas later this month.

A long time coming to say the least, the pro-shot of both, record-breaking nights at Knebworth Park had been expected to be released in their immediate triumphant aftermath, but as the Oasis rollercoaster quickly sped on to an aborted US tour, near break-up and, this being Oasis, ultimately work on a third studio album, the plans were instead lost in the tumultuous fog.

20 years on, it will finally be out on September 23rd, now with the added bonus of retrospective thoughts from both the band and some of those 250,000 fans who were a part of history that weekend.

“Knebworth for me was the Woodstock of the 90s,” Liam Gallagher has said. “It was all about the music and the people. I can’t remember much about it, but I’ll never forget it. It was Biblical.”
