Screensaver was formed in 2016 by Christopher Stephenson (Spray Paint/Exek) and Krystal Maynard (Bad Vision/ex Polo).
Screensaver are ready to release their debut album Expressions Of Interest on October 8th.
The news comes with the industrial post-punk of new single No Movement, ‘written in the jam room and built around the simple organ riff’, according to the band.
“Despite its title the song is full of dynamic and interplay between the instruments,” they continue. “It’s a favourite of ours to play live. The lyrics explores themes of anxiety and rumination, shaping a loose narrative around a character paralysed by fear and intrusive thoughts unable to move forward in life.”
Expressions Of Interest was recorded this year and last as the band navigated lockdown restrictions in Melbourne.
