It’s the first album from We Are Scientists in three years.
Now 15 years on from when they were one of the many bands flooding indie dancefloors with new hits on a weekly basis, We Are Scientists will release their seventh studio record on October 8th.
Huffy is announced with its lead track Contact High, and news of a hometown live gig at Brooklyn Elsewhere Rooftop that’s been booked for August 10th.
“Love songs can easily be goofy and embarrassing, and so I sometimes have a hard time writing songs that are unambiguously romantic”, Keith Murray says of the single.
“Contact High really nails that heady rush of full-throttle infatuation for me, though, because it evokes my trifecta of mood-altering stimuli — dizzying romantic interaction, rousing music, and second-hand contact with psychoactive chemicals (in descending order of personal preference).”
