Like many others, The Lathums undertook recording sessions at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool with James Skelly.

The Lathums have set their debut album How Beautiful Life Can Be for release on September 24th.

The 12-strong tracklist contains today’s latest single – a new recording of the already-fan-favourite The Great Escape – along side others such as Oh My Love, already one of Live4ever’s favourite tracks of the year so far.

“But how wonderfully breezy this single is,” our review reads. “A reminder that there are still 3-minute pop songs about loss and longing out there in the ether that can juxtapose and be capable of sounding fresh, upbeat and contemporary.”

“On it, The Lathums also prove themselves to have that wonderful, rare knack of wearing their influences on their sleeves whilst still putting a stamp that’s unquestionably ‘them’ on what emerges out the other side.”
