Jake Bugg shares latest new album cut Downtown

Jake Bugg will be at the Tramlines and Standon Calling festivals this weekend.

Jake Bugg has posted the latest cut from his forthcoming new album Saturday Night, Sunday Morning.

The initial idea for Downtown came from producer/writer Jamie Hartman, with Bugg picking up the baton in the role of arranger.

“Usually, the initial spark of an idea comes from me,” he says. “And when it doesn’t, it sometimes loses my attention. Because there were a lot of moving parts and chords, it was almost like a puzzle. I’d never approached a song like that before.”
