Oscar Lang’s UK tour dates are due to begin at Above Festival in Leicester.

Dirty Hit is currently basking in the success of another critical acclaimed – and, it seems certain, soon to be UK number one – album thanks to Wolf Alice’s Blue Weekend, and Oscar Lang will be looking to make his own impact on the label with the release of his debut album Chew The Scenery on July 16th.

He’s now shared another slice of catchy surf pop from it in the form of 21st Century Hobby, ‘a tune based on the idea of society’s obsession with sharing your life online and comparing yourself to other people’, he says.

“There was one point where I was spending 13 hours a week on social media, which equated to about a month every year,” Lang continues. “That was a really dark time for me – I always thought that it would never affect me, but it took some time to realise that it was subconsciously affecting my mental health.”
