“Working with Brittany Howard’s voice felt really inspiring, because it radiates emotions and energy,” Little Dragon say.

Childish Gambino, Bon Iver and Laura Mvula have all contributed to a reimagining of Brittany Howard’s debut solo album Jamie.

Named after Howard’s sister who died of cancer when they were teenagers, the 2019 LP will be reinterpreted on July 23rd and, according to the Alabama Shakes singer, has kept the same spirit as the original recordings.

“Making Jaime was so much fun for me because I was able to explore so many different genres of music,” Howard says. “There were no rules.”

“This reimagination project has been no different. I have been honored to have so many incredible artists from all musical worlds interpret my songs in such interesting and different ways.”
