Radiohead members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood joined forces with jazz drummer Tom Skinner at Glastonbury.

Radiohead side project The Smile was launched during the livestream of Glastonbury last weekend.

Described by Yorke during the performance as, ‘the smile of the guy who lies to you every day’, the trio performed an eight-song set including tracks called Skating On The Surface, Opposites and We Don’t Know What Tomorrow Brings.

Although there were also appearances across the Worthy Farm site from the likes of Idles, HAIM and Coldplay, the livestream was beset with technical difficulties which led to the hosts Driift Live opening it up for free, sending their ‘sincere apologies to all those who were affected’ by the technical issues.

Emily Eavis later said she was ‘gutted’ about the problems, but summed up the event as an ‘incredible film’ and a ‘work of art’.
