The Subways unveil new single Fight, rescheduled UK gigs

The Subways

It’s the first on The Subways’ new home of Alcopop! Records.

The Subways will be giving a physical release to their new single Fight on April 30th after it got a first play on BBC 6 Music yesterday.

“Fight is a letter in two parts: a gesture of solidarity with the Black community and communities of colour, as they face their daily oppression at the hands of systemic racism; and it’s a wake-up-call to the white community that such oppressions do in fact exist, and that we must acknowledge these oppressions and fight alongside marginalised communities as allies,” Billy Lunn explains.

Having just been able to squeeze in some live dates on the anniversary of their debut album Young For Eternity (when they also had an exclusive chat with Live4ever) before the first lockdown hit last year, details of a rescheduled 2nd leg have now been confirmed.

Tour dates:

September
23 – Norwich, The Waterfront
24 – Birmingham, O2 Institute
25 – London, O2 Forum
30 – Nottingham, Rock City

October
1 – Bristol, O2 Academy
2,3 – Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms
