Back The Way We Came marks 10 years since Noel Gallagher launched his post-Oasis solo career.
Noel Gallagher has unveiled a High Flying Birds ‘best of’ collection with a brand new track entitled We’re On Our Way Now.
“10 years of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds?,” Gallagher says. “Blimey! Just think of all the things I COULD have done in that time!”
“The title just came to me one afternoon, at the kitchen table. It’s a saying isn’t it: ‘Back the way we came’. I actually thought it was a great title.”
“Which is why it’s got Vol 1. Because if there’s another one, I’m not coming up with another title!”
The compilation opens with four of the singles which helped to make his self-titled solo debut an immediate hit – Everybody’s On The Run, The Death Of You And Me, AKA…What A Life! and If I Had A Gun… – and continues chronologically through the 2015 follow-up Chasing Yesterday.
Disc 2 mixes selected highlights from the 2017 full length Who Built The Moon? and subsequent EPs, while a bonus disc carries various remixes and demos.
