What Did You Expect from The Vaccines? went Top 5 in the UK.
The sight of the various members of The Vaccines, fresh off a plane at SXSW in 2011 as one of the UK’s most hyped new bands, back-breakingly unloading all their stage gear out of a cramped (presumably hired) car, is one that will always stay with Live4ever as one of the purest examples of the peculiar tests which that festival presents to artists.
In Austin, Texas that year the very week their What Did You Expect from The Vaccines? album was released, they were also note-worthy for performing sets shorter in duration than the average journey it took on foot to get to where they were playing.
We digress. Ten years on from that South By Southwest visit and the imminent breakthrough of that debut record, in 2021 with the most-apt band name a year could wish for, What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? is getting an anniversary reissue on April 2nd.
The solid pink vinyl release will be limited to 2500 copies, bringing with it a bonus record filled with previously unreleased demos.
