It’s the first action from The Horrors since 2017.

The Horrors have plans for a new EP and have announced its details along with the first cut Lout.

Described by Rhys Webb as their ‘nastiest’ music since the goth edges of 2007’s debut Strange House, Lout is the title-track of the EP and set for release on March 12th with the additional new cuts Org and Whiplash…amounting to not much more than what was once commonly known as ‘a single’.

“’Lout is about the relationship between choice and chance, compulsive risk-taking and pushing your luck,” Faris Badwan explains.

“As a band, particularly live, we’ve always had an aggressive side and as we began writing new songs it became clear that we were heading in that direction.”

“In the past whenever we’ve written stuff with a harder edge it’s come from the energy we get from all playing together in a room but creating this kind of atmosphere remotely was a different challenge.”

“It’s the same level of intensity as the 100-miles-an-hour stuff we’ve done in the past but the anger is somehow more channelled. I can’t wait to play these songs live as there’s so much freedom in that kind of chaos.”

When last with us in 2017, The Horrors made Live4ever’s end-of-year lists following the release of V.
